Hydraulic Engineering Co. was founded in Toronto in 1945.Shortly thereafter, Peter took his brother-in-law, Roy Robinson as his partner.

Following the success and overwhelming demand for their grain augers, Peter and Roy risked everything and boldly entered the sprayer market.
Not content with continuing to manufacture only small implements, Peter developed his first swather. Only a year later, Versatile’s swathers accounted for 60% of the sales of these machines in North America!

The Versatile 250 to 305 is powered by the Cummins QSC 8.3-liter engine, designed to meet the balance of power and efficiency.
